Students who are feeling selfless are invited to shave their heads in support of children who have cancer.
Kate Douglas, president of APO, has organized the event for the past two years.
“Unfortunately, it’s really common,” Douglas said. “A child gets diagnosed every three minutes, so that’s a lot of kids and they don’t really have a lot of funding.”
Barbers will be on Monfort Quad, east of Clark, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8 shaving heads and accepting donations.
Registration can be completed online.
“We love that people are willing to raise their heads, but we ask that you donate at least a little bit just because that’s why we’re out here, and all of it goes back to the foundation,” Douglas said.
